108 Footprints

By netherbound

108 footprints in the sand
Leading me towards the flaming sun
Waiting for me in the west
I must master each step, one by one
Glory added to glory
Waiting for the end of my quest

----------------------

108 footprints washed away
I am gone now to ride the Kokaubeam
All the lights of the night sky
Shed a tear because of what they've seen
Ungodly and without light
A vagrant and vagabond, I here die

With 108 broken pieces to my soul
I have crumbled to a pile of filthy rot
Wearing the mark of hell
I see everything that I am not
Ungodly and without light
A lone cosmos-wandering empty shell
...aimlessly traversing, forever unknown
