Glimpses of chaos
By Sapphire
Tick tock
The mind hums with the clock
Faking patience when irritation climbs up
The white veil whoosh with the swift wind
Showing glimpses of the broken pieces
The mask feels hot to the face
Melting with the little resolution of civility
The lights dimming with the growing annoyance
The dark creeps in through the cracks
You know, the veil couldn't cover up
Piles of hurt and pain
Sucked up warmth and trust
Snares of promised torture
Music from the lamentation of a pained soul
Drinking the tears of undried eyes
Entertained by the dances of an imprisoned heart
Screaming out to hearts swelling with mock amusement
Drop by drop
Bleeding for the world that sees not of you
Cracking your skin
Dwelling on settling in
But where do you situate
When the heart you need
Isn't yours to keep?

If only people could really see what we hide beneath our masks, that would really be something, aye? The pain in this is palpable and I've been there. You just want to scream the truth for all to hear, but that only accomplishes so much. That being said, you did a beautiful job, darlin'. Rebs:).

As much you could scream, it's like the cries fall on deaf ears. People choose to ignore that to get closer . Thank you love for your support
