Bloodlust

By johnbevan17

He smells the scent of her body,
As he holds her close,
A loving embrace,
Her body close to his,
His soul is lost to those below,
The ones who will not be named,

His heart yearns for her,
Tears roll down his cheek as he holds his lady in his arms,
She offers herself to him,
With a need to be,
To exist,

To be engulfed by him,
Like a python wrapping itself around it's victim,
Its a need,
A desire,
His nails claw in to her back as they caress,
She needs it,
Wants it,
As the snake entwines them,

Like Adam and Eve,
The temptation of the apple,
He takes first bite,
And the blood runs free,
Palpitations from within her body,
Drives her more insatiably towards him,

She gives herself to him for eternity,
He holds her in a cloak of darkness,
As they fade in to the night,
They know of what has come to be,
The moonlit night of tranquility,
Bloodlust for what was destined to be.
