Full Moon

By Meadowhawk

Full Moon risen
pale
cold
casting chill kisses
upon dampening skin

Full Moon drifting
watching
waiting
ever hungry
for the taste of fear

Full Moon whispering
calling
beckoning
demanding servitude
from nameless shadows

Full Moon smiling
laughing
gloating
feasting on terror
from haunted dreams

Full Moon waning
sated
gorged
sinking with pleasure
below the horizon

Full Moon sleeping
quiet
silent
waiting patiently
for the embrace of night
