Hopes walk on the beach ( would REALLY love feedback)

By Steven86175

Her long

dirty blonde hair

was flowing

Her thin white beach dress

waving

And showing.

We walked along the L.A. beach,

She danced

Played

Laughed

Cried

Fell

Flipped

Screamed

And all the sudden

She fell silent

Standing still

Staring.

I walked to her, nervously

When I arrived she took my hand

Continuing to stare out

Into nothing

but heavens abyss.

As I looked out and looked back

I saw it

Not with my own eyes

But through hers.

At that moment

She was at an L.A. beach

She wasn't 5 years ago with him

She wasn't a month ago when her and I left a small town in Texas

Just to travel in a drugged and drunken binge

Like Bonnie & Clyde met Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

She was now

Not then

She was here

And no longer there.

And all at once I saw

Her blue eyes

So cold

So nervous

So excited

So ready

So scared

Just so full of life.

Then she looked at me and smiled

She turned and started walking, guiding my hand with her

Then she looked back at me again, into the deepest places of my soul and said

"Come with me."

And I followed.
