Rekindled

By silverwolf

You left me battered;
bruised by your hard lips,
bleeding from your sharp tongue,
and broken by your cruel thoughts.

But like a phoenix
I will rise from the ashes
of my diseased heart
and live on in glorious beauty,
even more splendid than before you.
