Forlorn

By silverwolf

“The moon
she looks so big tonight.
Do you suppose she sees us too?”
“No dear love,
her eyes are blind.
She can not see us at all.”
“But surely she must
when her face is turned to us.”
“But she cannot see
what is plain to thee.”
“How sad it must be then
to live all alone.
Is there anyone for her?”
“No dear love.
It cannot be,
she will not find another.”
“So she must remain,
solitary in her domain?”
“So she must stay
always, everyday.”
