Cry of Despair

By silverwolf

Save me from the dark that threatens
the emptiness that resides always near
the void that loudly beckons
the peace that has no peer
Its touch I long to feel
that takes away all pain
my wounds, too deep to heal
are drowned in life’s weary bane
You must keep me from
the nothingness that is
Without you I will succumb
to the horror that always is
there to prey upon
the weak and unaware
those used as pawns
unknowing of any care
