My safe place
By beamish
Your eyes might be candy but your soul is my food.
Your simple smile feeds a place where hunger has always grown.
Your hand I might not always get to hold but just knowing your heart walks
this planet makes earth a beautiful place.
From that very first word until my last breath escapes my dying chest.
I will see your face in all that life has to offer.
The warmth of a breeze will be your breath on my neck.
The flutter of a butterfly will be the taste of your lips.
You my angel will guide my path in righteous travels from this world to
the next.
Where I'll set to the task of finding you again. Even if it means I have
to travel a thousand moons in search of your trail of star bits of heaven.
A path I'll gladly walk until that day I get to see your face.
My only happiness.
My only safe place.
