Too Many Funerals

By Alice_I_Wonder

Kids are crying and teens are dying,
you still think it's all in our heads?
With sleepless nights and endless fights,
is it any wonder our hearts near dead?
And through we try with our heads up high,
at night we are left alone in our bed.
Tears pool around, we weep without a sound,
and wish for a different life instead.
We grow up fast in a world not meant for us to last,
when all our world's turned red.

And when it's all said and done, no one will have won,
your hearts as empy as ours once were.
You scream, and you cry as our souls finally fly
away from this earthly life now a blur.
We finally rest, not a beat at our chest,
from a world we could not conquer.
And we know that with us will go
all your dreams of who we once were.

And you merely ask yourself why.
When all along, we've been screaming for the cure.

Thanx for bringing up awareness. this is a very real occurrence. I truly pray there is something better than this life, cause this one is very confusing and unbalanced
