The Darkness Within

By BlackNightingale

The sound of broken glass under
my feet echoes through the night.
I am used to the sound of thunder,
but now, the sun lost its light.

Misty night has filled a hole,
that lies deep within my heart,
with something darker than coal.
Everything  good has fallen apart.

All that’s left is a pale shadow
of a human I used to be.
Thorny roses have found a way
into my forever damned soul.

But there is something I have to say…
I love this demon inside of me.

I love this poem, such beautiful descriptions used and a good imagery. 'Thorny roses have found a way, into my forever damned soul' this is now one of my favourite lines along with 'But there is something I have to say... I love this demon inside me.' I love it you are expressing well and seem to have a good way of creating imagery. Well done keep writing!
