I can trust

But letting them near I would not dare
I want to be single

Yet the emptiness strikes me to the bone
Special cause I'm friendly
Special cause I'm fun
Always special to someone but not their special one
Only meat
Only skin
It's not my heart they want to be in
But to be more
But to be wanted
Could someone love this soul so haunted
Not just the friend
Not just the buddy
But your partner when things get cruddy
Loved by my family
Loved by my tribe
