Chains Surround Me

By Angel Plant

Chains surround me

As I lay in my grave

While things crawl over me

As I try to close my eyes

The wind blows over me

As the cold sits in

I am like a shell

Chains surround me

No effects of the sun

As the sky over looks

While the dirt comes down

On my bones

My blood is dry

Bones are broke

No insides at all

What do I have left?

I can no longer feed

Or suck blood

My family is gone

Chains of loneliness

I had much power

Went hunting for my prey

Now I am dead in my grave

With eyes no more

I collected valuables

But I was seized

As a arm shot out

Of no where

I froze for a moment

As I said,  I return to dust

But you will always remain

My vampire lover
