A Forest on Fire

By Erotic Asphyxiation

A fuzzy disconnect
From a server so weakly secured

Moss on rock
Desperately clinging to
Shallow pores filled with vengeance
And pride
Before the fall
And you hold your Haughty Spirit high
Before the rocks can be thrown and

Glass houses shattered
In a forest on fire
Escape to the inside from
The hunters without

Shifting spaces
Rearranging a void
Full of desires and ideas
Vivid red splashes on black holes
Desperate for infinity

You see them
A recognition of passion
Clashing steel and
Raging teeth

Fury inside and
Out

You rage in an inferno
The green of your forest burned filthy black
This is the way the world ends

The whimpers they predicted
Are no more
Roars fill the void
Wrath of a battered body
Fury of a stubborn soul

The pride in my step falters not
And the fall only comes when I say it can
Haughty Spirit still stands
Head high and a submission hold in her gaze
She is the destruction

This is the way the world ends
And it's all my fault
