The Sin Inside - A Poem

By Steven86175

I am holier than thou

Highly intoxicated

And headed for hell

I am in your head

Ripping your heart

Violating your innocence

And leaving scars.

Turning your wine to whiskey

Your gods words to smoke

Destroying his facades

And his son a joke.

I am in you

And everyone holy.

I set you free

But you refuse me

Because I release the true you

That no one wants to see.

I help you flee societies unearned glee

So you can see who you need to be.
