Slaying Dragon

A new day dawns, a brand new year is stretching out ahead
The old year passes from our sight, it lies behind us, dead
And in the mists of time to come we'll find our paths through life
Some paths are happy, some are sad, and some are filled with strife
From here the future is unclear, our way we'll seek to find
The past is gone,we can't go back,what's been has passed behind
Our hopes and dreams we tightly hold, to use as sword and shield
To slay the dragons of our fears on lifes great battlefield
So pick your path, and swing your sword, and wade into the fray
To vanquish dragons one more time, and greet another day
