The Apparition of Pleasure

By Flying indigo express

A fleeting face
And the image floats away
An ephemeral visage
That I long to be real

The look, and I gave inĀ
The place I've never been
To experience that world someday
But your image faded away

"The only world I've ever known sleeps beneath the waves." I've always loved that quote. Your work reminded me of it, as a dream that I almost remembered, a dream that I had in the tip of my tongue, but somehow... Faded away.

Whether by intention or by design, my world is the only one I've been a part of.
