Voice

By SeventhCircle

I try to speak the voice I was meant to
I try to show them what’s right
And I find time after time
I’m not as strong as I thought I was

I love how authority is never consistent
Taking hypocrisy to a new level
Telling me to stand up for what I believe
And then striking me down for it

I’ve always known what I wanted
And I’ve always known what was right
It’s so much simpler just to submit
It's the easy path not taken

its so easy to give in to the 'accepted' main stream beliefs of right and wrong but when you do that youre just another one of the herd..theres no originality, no depth, no character..stay strong ~kristy

I like this a lot, Seventh. This piece has a "voice" of confidence that is very inspiring. Great work.
