I Am Night
By MirrorEye
I am night
I am death
I'm a young man's final breath as he leaves this world and decays.
I am debt
I am war
Started over religion, or a whore of Troy
I am black sails in moonlight
I am famine, pestilence and plague
The whispering, dying starlight.
I am the eater of time
I am the destroyer of worlds
The murderous voice in the back of your mind.
All these things am I
The fire that burns the sky...
I am man

Very good poem on how humanity really is despite our beliefs that we are civilized . we think that insignificant fact makes us above all else. Again very good , I hope to read more pieces of work from you.

I've written on this subject before, and it's true. It's very hard to transcend our own humanity and achieve whatever it is we search for.
