Soul

By DuchessofDoom

The core, the core is strong
The light, the light is bright
Burning, burning all night long
In day, in day it blinds my sight
The cold, the cold it leaks inside
The light, the light it flickers fast
The dark, the dark will override
Until, until the brightness cannot last
For sure, for sure it comes like death
One hand, one cold black clammy hand
Its grip, its grip tightens upon my breath
A dark, a dark plagued funeral band
All gone, all gone the happiness
Snuffed out, snuffed out that light of hope
Down, down that grim chasm to rest
Fade, fade I away, I cannot cope
