All Because I Called You Friend

By DuchessofDoom

Sleeping dollies in a box
Mouths sealed shut like rusted locks
Open your eyes so you can see
Just what you have done to me
Selfish to the very end
You play possum and I pretend
Withered husk and broken mind
You caused us all to stay behind
World is turning by the hour
Yet all we do is sit and cower
Afraid to trust the world again
All because I called you friend
