Fictitious Crimes

By Bound_In_Chains

Tip toe through the land mines
I wonder if it's worth it sometimes
Being held accountable for fictitious crimes
My heart sinks and anxiety climbs
Do you know how much it hurts?
To be accused of something and treated like dirt?
Your rage I try my best to divert
But most times it doesn't work
Now come the tears
My explanations you won't even hear
It makes me want to disappear
Why must you think I'm so insincere?
Doesn't matter anyway
Doesn't matter what I say
I can't keep your rage at bay
I hope things will be different someday…
