Alone

By cherietree

Sometimes you need to feel as if your all alone,
the child and adult screaming,
one to hold on,
the other to let go.

You feel everything and nothing,
the dark glow of the outside world
is a comfort,
it makes you feel as though the very fabric of existence
is feeling down like you.

You may be the up most kindest soul,
but today your heart is cold.
And everyone who 'loves' you
feels so dead and old.

Today I dream of darkness,
the ability to dissolve.
Into the world of nightmares,
where my thoughts are a dark paradise
to indulge.

I think of pain and hatred,
how the world has sold me short.
Until tomorrow in the publics eye,
I shall appear shiny and gold.
