A moment.

By Lil Demon Lady

Sitting on the porch, inhaling the toxins that is the cigarette between my fingers,
I hear the thunder shake the skies, followed by a brief flash of lightening,
The rain pours down, hitting the gutters and roof, the sound of pitter pat, the tink tink tink as if we had a tin roof,
The wind wails it way through the trees,
the ground below unable to keep soaking up the water floods and makes rivers,
the gutters on the roof spills over and create waterfalls,
Yet, In the middle of this fierce storm...I feel at peace.
