Moments

By Alice_I_Wonder

An old man once told me a story of how he found his true love. He was walking down a country road, completely foreign to him.
There she was, working in the fields.
He said that the heavens were giving her a spotlight as she wiped the sweat off of her face as she was working in the fields.
He never spoke to her. He never saw her again.
She looked at him,
he looked at her.
He knew, and that was that.
There is no happy ending, just a moment for everyone. Some have longer moments than others, some moments are but in a dream.

To those who can still lose themselves completely and truly to that person they love:
cherish it.
Cherish it while it lasts, because it won’t last forever.
Some have much time together, until something happens.
Most love stories write of some celestial intervention and a death of one of the lovers.
That is what we believe true love is.
That was their moment.
Most love moments are ended by one or both of the parties, though.

Time keeps going. We fade. We drift.

Cherish that feeling you get when you can completely lose yourself to another. Cherish it with all your being and heart.
