As Dawn And Dusk Embrace

By MorganMoonlight

There is no turning from familiar unnamed roads
Searching for answers amidst discord's envious throes
And every step I take longs for the dreams you left me with
Serpertine motives to misguide my every sin

I tread through the rivers of dying light
And wander the forest of departure's tender nightside
Searching for a way home; for solace to forgive my name
To take the pain you left me with as dawn and dusk embrace

There is no cure for the dark obsessions that haunt my steps
As velvet streetlights siren us to innocence's glorious death
For your forgiveness I pray, of my heart cold as ice
But the war had been waged and I just couldn't say goodbye

I peer into the shadows of sweetest disarray
And sing every sorrow of our bond; fallen from grace
The circles of time divide, and they will not wait
Against the light, they sever us as dawn and dusk embrace

Along violet moonlit outskirts, the maiden weeps her song
Torn to chime her canticle, is this where we belong?
She embodied Cassandra ascending a Catherine Wheel
I cry out

'don't join her, for this time her lie is for real!'

Was it the allure of it all?
I reach, but your hand now falls
As dawn and dusk embrace
The circles of time sever it all

I tread through the rivers of dying light
And wander the forest of departure's tender nightside
Searching for a way home; for solace to forgive my name
To take the pain you left me with as dawn and dusk embrace

I peer into the shadows of sweetest disarray
And sing every sorrow of our bond; fallen from grace
The circles of time divide, and they will not wait
Against the light they sever us as dawn and dusk embrace

As dusk is embraced by dawn
The circles of time sever it all

A haunting lament sweeps sorrowfully through the twilight, aching for her return. I like this write a lot. :)
