Void

By Shadow Colossus

arid burial, persistence of
desolation lingering...
slow the aqueous slither

of lifeblood flow
oasis sway
slow
sway away
drain liquid savior's trace

dazed... wounded, traverse
void; eclipse
lowered graves bore
cradling bounties of illusion
mirages our salves

corrupted earth
commandeers thirsts
yet to slake, extinguish
beneath desertbound cracks
upon wicked frailty of land

timely extinction of upper glow
claims morning, absence of
time claims eternity;
barren midnight is infinity
to human eyes

arid burial, as all know
omnipotence of crushing
dusk eclipse...
but is it dusk...?
I can't tell beneath the earth.

Even in the dark the mind and senses can still see. A desolate place written beautifully.
