Crimson Rain

By MorganMoonlight

I never meant to fall with the stars
I never meant for vespertine vanguards to tear us apart
I only want to set these frozen words aflame
I only want to hold you as our night drowns in day

Crimson rain, darling
Crimson rain

Underneath yesterday
In the rain can we run away?
Hide the past in crimson rain
Drown it all in crimson rain

I never meant to turn my back on all of you
I never meant to curse every night we shared
I only want to say I'm sorry as this crimson falls
Though I know we won't meet again
I only want you to know that
I will always care

Crimson rain, baby
Crimson rain

Crimson rain caresses your face
Holding you as our world burns
In the crimson rain
Dancing outside redemption's bolted gate
In bittersweet crimson rain

Oh darling, your face is all I see
And all their vows are my only embrace
Once upon a time we held the world like king David's reign
Now we watch it all burn beneath bittersweet crimson rain

Oh, I hear you...
     I hear all of you...

If someone survives the apocalypse, he would dance this in madness underneath the old sky. Haunting.

I write music as well, so I had a few ideas. I'm glad you like it. Thank you.
