Casting You Out

By Jennanselmo

Hypocrites, we all are, but you are by far the worst
Your existence is offensive and you will be forever cursed
By the demons that you see, from the evil that lies within
You cannot win this battle if you continuously sin
You speak of a greater power that you believe in the one true God
But if your life doesn’t reflect a believer than you are simply a fraud
So I am calling you out, I’m calling your bluff
Speak to me again about your faith because I’ve had enough
If you truly saw the light why do you always sleep in your grave?
Don’t you know your life is the consequence of the choices you have made?
You act like you have the answers but you really have none
You make a grand entrance but like a coward you run
Because you think you can change if your address does too
You think you will find love if you pretend to feel it too
I can’t help but feel sorry for you because you are throwing it all away
You use your looks to entice them but you leave them all the same
I also feel ashamed that I let you in my home
That I exposed my family to such a disease unknown
Shame on the sinner that pulls another pure soul down
Shame on the liar that ties us up and leaves us bound
To the fate that you prescribed to the dream now a nightmare
To the awareness of your presence to reality of you not being here
