A Sinking Ship

By Anonymous

I'm a sinking ship
With no one to bale
The water out of me

I'm drawn to fire,
Embedded in the earth,
Seeking shelter from the rain
As the air chokes me

Illusions in my vision
Searching for my mind
Yet all I seem to be,
And to know,
In the distant past
Gets left behind

I long for a future,
Yet my ship keeps sinking
With no one to bale
The water out of me
