Shadow Poetry

By Shadow lost to the light

Dear sweet friend, my very own shadow.
Please open your eyes and tell me whats in tow.
I'm lost in the every day burdens of life's monotonous flow.
Tired of trying to figure and define these things I'm supposed to know.
Drained from fighting what seems like fate's unyielding blow.
You above all know the wieghts I had to shed in order to grow,
and of course know my weakest moments when i was feeling too low
I find myself hoping your the only one who has to catch me when I leave just a soul.
Becuase I can't trust these fakes to be there when they can't respect my goal.
I'll do what I can to fix the relationships that are true and worth the mend.
but just incase I fail my dear sweet shadow, my only true friend.
Even if all the lights go out, can i count on you stay with me till the end?
