Human

By Shadow lost to the light

My face screaming rock and roll while my heart sings the blues.
My temper is only getting shorter like a lit fuse.
I'm tired of sitting back all dazed and confused.
Trying so hard to keep up this ruse.
Always laughing but never been farther from amused.
Sitting innocent but always being labeled the accused.
Well they need to step off and go back to sucking where their mamas milk spews.
Because  I already walked a mile and my feet were too big for their shoes.
I already solved their mysteries and I didn't even need any clues.
I hope you see this isn't just one of my many moods.
I hope you see not the mask but the things it eludes.
I hope you see the smile but not the bottles of booze.
I'm a paradox walking until it's my mind I loose.
I'm a hypocrite talking until its a side I choose.
I'm a sinner struggling until I pay off my dues.
I'm an empty vessel until something inside me moves.
I'm a written off thought until its the truth it proves.
I'm just like you, another human until it's this life that concludes.
