Lost in my Mind

Lost in my thoughts,
seemingly drowning in my own mind.
Looking for a way out,
I’m seeing that it’s hard to find.
My final resignation seems so very near,
yet life has just begun again.
I’m lost…
I’m drowning….
I’m broken…. again.
The ultimate fix is what I seek,
the answer to all that has become dark within me.
So fleetingly I glimpse euphoric light,
yet it just fades away,
another day of endless nights.
I’m lost…
I’m drowning….
I’m broken…. again.
Forever muddling through time,
everything always barely out of reach.
Even this wretched breath with which I speak.
I’m lost…
I’m drowning….
I’m broken…. again.
All lost in a voiceless mind.
I’m lost in the absence of my mind,
I’m drowning in my self-inflicted pit of despair.
I’m broken, just fragments, it’s all I have left here.

It was originally meant as a song, that didn't pan out for this one. I wrote this quite a long time ago. .. unfortunately the hopelessness hasn't ever completely disappeared. Thanks for the read.
