The mood necklace

I bought something today,
A mood necklace...and it's shape....
The shape of a heart,
You know that place where love starts.
I got the right half,
And my best friend got the left...
Your probably wondering what happened next.
My friends half turned bright green,
It sparkled too.
My friend was happy.

But my half....
It turned black.
So I hid my half behind my back.
Black meant sad,
And I didn't want to tell,
I thought my friend might get upset and yell.
So when she said, "Hey, what color is yours?"
Blue, I replied.
Calmness is what the color blue stores.

She suspected me,
She knew i was lying,
So she stared at me like a lion.
"It's the mood necklace,
It's probably busted",
I said as I played with a button.
It turned black,
What am I supposed to say,
It turned black because it knows everything isn't ok.

But, when it turned black I was glad,
It says what makes me feel bad.

Look at the half heart that hangs from my neck,
And just above my chest,
The mood necklace.
That'll tell you.
The mood necklace will tell you my mood.
And if it's black,
Don't ask why.
Just know that I'm sad,
And it's the mood necklaces fault that you won't know why.
