In between the worlds

By A soulless dark angel

I stepped through a door into the darkness,
As my mind begins to clear I see a long dark path,
But I cant see pass this large dark mass,
It's big, it's scary, it's this thing in my mind,
I stand there and listen as it's teeth begins to grind,
I run off the road, loosing my path,
And getting lost all to fast,
Images begin to form before my eyes,
And it has nothing to do with the light,
My eyes adjust and I can finally see,
It's a forest, the woods, that stands before me,

I run and run as fast as I can,
To only fall and hurt myself bad,
I cowered and screamed,
So I hid behind a tree,
I put my head in my hands,
And tears is what began,
I thought and thought about my fears,
While they all materialized in the air,
All the trees began to disappear,
Accept for the one that was near,
Behind me it stood as my comfort,
Giving off warmth like my lover,
Next to the tree was where I lay,
As the darkness around wouldn't waste away,

I sat there in fear,
Of my surroundings I was aware,
I soon grew tired,
So I fell asleep with out the desire,

I woke up in my bed,
With the understanding of what wasn't said,
It was a nightmare I had,
The same one from every other night, that made me sad,
This nightmare is continuous meaning it never stops,
Seems the evil is always on top, I always have this dream,
It's a never ending darkness beam,

Author's Note:

This place is the place between reality and dreams. Since the land of dreams is on the other side of the road and I never made it there, I was stuck in the place of my worst fears.
