Can't the darkness burn away...

By Avicus78

The sadness once felt, has burdened you greatly, and in a sack you carry them by your side
Time has passed, but the wounds are still fresh, as the rocks below your feet scrape and stab
From past loves, you are lost and hurt, and still, you walk strong..
Looking for what is missing, once found, how will you know?
With the past obscuring the future, those who are True will find you solid, and opposing
The False, may find a well-tread path to your unprotected, tender and healing soul
Will fate lift you up, let you fly, or drop you to the ground in a bloody broken heap?
Someone like you, so beautiful, I am afraid to come to near,
As the Sun can burn too, even the darkest parts of the earth and sea,
And the neverending night within me.
