Love's Embrace (20120905)

By anarchosis

Swept into the unrelenting current,
emotions drowning those lost to it's touch,
cast into it's cage,
forever trapt in it's icy grasp...

wilting under the bright eyed gaze,
this collossal being makes us feel so insignificant...

even under it's blanketed embrace,
we appear nude for the world to see...

What vile beast can do this?
What unholy being can take the strength from humanity;
and leave them weaping on their knees as a child...

The blinded beast that holds this world in it's hands...

Our greatest gift; our vilest curse; answer to the same name...
Our souls poisoned by love's tender embrace; Our life sweeter with each simple touch...
This devil that has destroyed nations; this angel that we beg to lead us to salvation...

A gift and a curse,
A prison sentence with no hope of escape,
A paradise with an endless source of water,
This double edge sword; slicing deeply upon entry and exit...
