Unforgiven and the Lost (20120820)

By anarchosis

Through the ever changing evenings,
embers from the dying fires; wroughting themselves into our souls,
as the light of day comes to wash the lands anew...

With this day; the endless possiblities that fate shall set in our path,
will the sins of yesterday be left behind,
or will they be the seeds; the birth of troubles of tomorrow,
interwoven into our shadow; to always remind us of the wrongs we've done...

Forgiveness for these deeds; will it set us free?
Or continuously haunt our dreams?
Will our thoughts be free; from the past we want to let go?

A thousand noble deeds; washed away by a single act...
Forgiveness is a gift I fear I shall never attain...

Only one step forward to salvation; but my legs are weary from the strain...
Just one step forward to be free; but forever I am fallen.
