Once Upon a Dirty Dove

By TornPieces

Once upon a time

in a day perfectly fine..

In a normal house

with green grass

certain things would pass

a girl with a star on her purple shirt

blue jeans with not a stain of dirt

would hold her hands tight

as if she were about to fight

Inside the white, pristine normal house

lived the Daddy, quiet as a mouse

slithering like a snake,

knowing what he would take

The girl with the star

would not be able to get far

as the snake would wrap his laughter

around her mouth, a cocktail to stir

thoughts in her mind, of love and affection

the thorns from the Daddy needed attention

The girl was there, she forgot herself in that bed

The girl in the normal house , secrets left unsaid

in her hands leaning against eachother

swaying back and forth in her body

ripping apart while she walks so dirty

she walks dirty and talks clean

shes a liar that girl supposedly pristine

A pristine little tween that can't be seen

Because the smile tastes

in her mouth like bile

from her rotting insides

Her daddy all the while,

with his thorn and his love

shes a woman now

no longer a dove.

Amen to the religion of the normal house

where a secret dies

on the avenue of lies

with the girl who unfurls

into an ugly beast

and the parents feast

on a clean pristine thanksgiving dinner

The girls star and dove, that horrid little sinner

being with her own daddy, she knew and loved

shes a wretched little girl, a dirty dove

I'll shove her down my throat and tell her never to speak

So the normal house and normal life

will always be believed, and secrets never seeked.
