the truth i do not say

By lenores_death

as I like awake in nothing -
some twisted form of sleep -
running from the hunter,
my thoughts dream with broken feet.

whenever they ask me,
what do you think?
I pause to pray and forget my thoughts
and still further down I sink.

I lie by day and lie by night,
a new beginning of trade.
if this should be reality,
I'll live instead in a world I made.

and if instead, but only just,
I think of your lips on mine,
well, don't ask me,
because of course, it must be a lie.

and to a girl who has never spoke,
my thoughts continue to stray....
I'll tell you that I'm...straight...
but the truth... please don't say.
