What I know

By Leineco

I’ll not grieve my loss of you
I do not need the likes of you.

I will not cry for you;
lovelorn tears will not wash
this heartbreak’s pain away.
Nor will I sigh for you,
forlorn breaths cannot keep
this love torn ache at bay.

I will not pine for you;
anguished longing would not ease
my wretched agony.
Nor will I sing sad songs for you,
as dirges have not ever soothed
such abject misery.

No, I’ll not weep, nor wail for you
nor gnash my teeth;
toss in my sleep, nor tear at my hair.

I’ll just take this shiny blade -
let color, light and vision fade.

Let the blood
slowly

   d

from my veins
Till I feel
naught. . .

Ah, ecstasy.
