Setting Down Into Sleep
By Virgils Vigil
Drift from tepid consciousness,
From deprivation
and solitude,
Into solitude reborn.
Where malignant
reality is cured,
Simply through Seconal ingestion:
Tasting for a bitter but better unknown
Brought by a grand
pulse within.

This poem is dark, yet comforting, giving feelings of peace when the world can be so tormenting. I cannot help but agree with the message, as sleep is the only safe way to escape.
