Setting Down Into Sleep

By Virgils Vigil

Drift from tepid consciousness,

From deprivation and solitude,

Into solitude reborn.

Where malignant reality is cured,

Simply through Seconal ingestion:

Tasting for a bitter but better unknown

Brought by a grand pulse within.
