An Empty Shell That Fades By Dawn.

By MirrorEye

 Broken, shattered, twisted, torn.
An empty shell that fades by dawn.
My story begins on mid-summer's morn,
And ends with my spirit, lost and forlorn.

"I'll beat you with iron, cut you with a knife"
That was a phrase I've heard most my life.
"You'll never find happiness, never find a wife"
I tried to end it, by taking my life.

I woke up in hospital a few hours later,
To the sound of screams and the sting of a defribulator.
No one was waiting, no mother, no father.
I guess I was too unimportant to bother.

This story ends a little farther down the road.
After all my trial and error, I found a place to unload.
But after a while, my mind began to implode,
As my loneliness caused my heart to explode.
