Now You Know...

By xPainfulTears

"Who are you? ...Please tell me."
She looked back at him blankly not knowing how to reply.
"I have to go." She replied and disappeared into the dark forest.

He didn't know her name...
Or how old she was...
Was she even real?
He didn't know.
All he did know was that he loved her.

Sadly, she kept everything about her secretly secured behind her inscrutable dark, beautiful eyes.

He layed in silence on the dried, crisped grass... just thinking.
The moon shined brightly, illuminating the flowerless meadow he layed on.

His mind wandered until his eyes got heavy and he slowly drifted away into a slumber.

"Who are you?" He asked.

What had just been bright and beautiful turned dark and gloomy.
Her smile disappeared as she let go of his hand and ran off, but this time he chased her.

"Wait! Please don't run away!" He screamed into the dark.

"I'm sorry... I can't stay!" She yelled back.

He then woke up in a cold sweat although it was quite chilly outside.

He immediately got up and had begun to run through the dark forest looking for her.

He couldn't see anything, but he kept searching using the trees as his guide.

He had tripped over something hard and scraped he knees falling over it.

His eyes slowly began to close as he looked up to see the silouette of his unknown beloved.

~When he came to, he was very confused.
Not knowing where he was or why he was there...
Then he remembered he was looking for her.

He stood up using the hard, round-tipped object to push up against.
He backed up reading the words RIP: Beloved angel Ariel Williams 1996-2011
