It lingers on

By bloodwolf

Eyes half closed, sleep is closing in

Then one, loud sound, and im back in it again

The truck is burning, the bullets are flying

My Brother got hit, I think he's dying

His feet are gone, the ground covered in blood

so much of it now that the sand turns to mud

I keep shooting, hoping to survive

Really only worried about my brother being alive

Over the radio, the chaos insues

One of the gunner's weapons had issues

Air support is hovering over our head

And I'm determined to see my enemy dead

Then a quick blink of my eyes

Life is normal, i escaped demise
