They took pieces of my soul in
little thimble jars
Each bloody tear released a fear, which was launched up to the stars
They traveled
through the universe before landing back on Earth
And burrowing down to fester deep beneath
the dirt
And
when the peacetime came around the little seeds all trembled
Shooting high to a clear
blue sky they burst forth and assembled
Beautiful blossoms of maroon and red in every hue
you’d find
Each
found in reach one way or another a weak and empty mind
They then pollinated thoughts
of hate and plans of evil deeds
And in these brains, driven insane, they sowed their wicked seeds
So when the reaping
came around the people fell as they do in wars
The flowers flourished happily nourished
as they tallied up the scores
When it came time for eradication they dug their roots in deep
So although peace ruled
in daytime evil reigned in restless sleep
