returning to hopelessness

By matteus

my eyes bleed your name as the streets fills up
filling up so i can swim back to where you once waited.
i told you ill return you told me you would be here waiting.
my heart is black and my veins are blue and there isnt anything i would not do for you.
so i came back
back to this lonely tree
where my noose still hangs
centuries have passed and still i await
seeking refuge in the shadows.
my tears no more, just dry and cold and empty like my spirit
spirit no more just a walking corpse.
a man? no
more like a beast with this unquenchable hunger and thirst
a burning desire hotter than the flames of hell
i am so dry you cut my heart and it all drained out, what more do you want
i cannot cry anymore for i am dead
unseen
moving swiftly through the night
"for the dead travel fast."
beware my stare for i will  capture your soul.
a hungry beast i be
a desperate beast indeed. goodnight cruel dream for i sleep in vain
