Breach

By TwistedVamp13

Like a tidal wave, the rage returns.
The waters flow
Over the top of the wall
     Constructed to keep it contained,
               To pen it in,
                 Bottle it up,
     And the flood destroys
          Not the land beyond,
     But the things around me
     That I have carefully,
             Delicately,
         Elaborately constructed.
 Then it subsides,
            Leaving me weeping
 Amid the destruction
Wrought by my own two hands,
And I build the wall higher,
So that next time it won’t happen.
     But of course, it will,
And it will be worse, because the wall is higher.
