Monster

By TwistedVamp13

I stand before the Monster,
In his chamber, where he sits
    Plotting, planning evil things
   To inflict upon the world,
                Which he blames
 For his suffering.
He has summoned me here,
As he has countless times in the past,
In order to carry out his insidious orders.
 But this time,
I do not want to be his Pawn.
I refuse to be a part of his evil plot
                                To destroy the world
                                   I have helped to protect,
                                                And I shout,
                                                                "Release me!
"Free me from this foul prison!
Demand no more of my spirit!"
The Monster simply sits,
Laughing at my demand, and says,
"You have ever been free to leave this place,
 But you lacked the courage
                   To walk out the door."
