Bitch

By TwistedVamp13

I read your email for the thousandth time,
Wishing it was on paper so I could destroy it
                 With a satisfying tear,
Or toss it on the fireplace and watch your pathetic words burn.
Your words tell me so much more than they intend.
They speak of weakness of character, of bowing down
As you have always bowed down. They speak
Of a love you say can never be. I say, Liar!
You fool! Had you the courage, we could be together even now.
Had you the strength, we would be in each other’s arms,
         Looking into each other’s eyes,
Instead of me reading your pathetic email,
     Which I can’t even tear
         Or burn.
